Marco van Ginkel reportedly wants assurances from Jose Mourinho that he will be a regular first team player next season.
The 20-year old Vitesse Arnhem midfielder is being linked with a £9million move to Stamford Bridge but it has been suggested that he wants to make sure he will be used by the Blues boss.
His agent, Karel Jansen, said: "We are trying to figure out what the sporting opportunities are for Marco at Chelsea. It is especially important Marco plays next year. An agreement is therefore not made."
van Ginkel cracked into the Holland national team last season and is hoping he can put his best foot forward for a shot at the 2014 World Cup team.
