Chelsea are eyeing Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp as a replacement for Carlo Ancelotti. The Daily Star says Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is considering trying to lure Redknapp AND chief scout Ian Broomfield from Spurs.
Turkey boss Guus Hiddink remains the Russian's favoured option, with the former caretaker Chelsea boss working alongside a younger coach, possibly Marco van Basten.
But tycoon Abramovich has been alerted to the fact Redknapp is becoming concerned about the lack of likely big spending at Spurs this summer.
Broomfield is being talked about as a possible director of football at Stamford Bridge, where the job has been vacant since Frank Arnesen quit in November.
