Palermo's Javier Pastore is set to sign with French giants Paris Saint-Germain. The 22-year old Argentine playmaker has been a strong target for Chelsea this summer but has decided to join PSG, who he describes as a club with a great history.
"You can say I am officially a PSG player, but I just need to have my medical and sort out other details. I am anxious to try this new adventure, PSG are a great club with great history," Pastore said.
Pastore admitted that he departs Palermo with a heavy heart but is looking forward to the next phase of his career.
"I have the best memories and I want to thank my former team-mates, the directors and the fans," he added.
"I leave with happiness, but inside my heart there is a little sadness.
"I want to win the league and the cup, I would like the team to win everything," he continued.
"In particular, I want to give my best in every game and I am very happy that they have believed in me."
