Luka Modric is ready to demand a transfer from Tottenham.
Croatian sources say Modric has run out of patience with chairman Daniel Levy, who refuses to discuss a Chelsea switch.
The Blues have bid £27million for the midfielder, who can take his wages from £40,000 to £150,000 a week if he succeeds in getting out of White Hart Lane.
However, Levy and boss Harry Redknapp have made it clear they do not want to sell Modric even though he has set his heart on getting away.
A Croatian source told The Sun: "Luka didn't want to ask for a transfer but he has been left with no choice.
"He wants to go to Chelsea and doesn't believe Levy is playing fair."
