Chelsea target Henry delighted with Reading breakthrough

James Henry was delighted to make his Reading debut in this week's Carling Cup defeat by Liverpool.

The England U19 star told the Reading Evening Chronicle: "It was fantastic for me to get my debut for my home club. I made my Football League debut on loan at Nottingham Forest but doing it for Reading was 10 times better, especially against a brilliant team like Liverpool.

"If you were going to pick a team to play your first game against it would be them or Manchester United or Arsenal.

"Unfortunately, we couldn't get the result we wanted but I'll never forget the experience."

Henry turned down the chance to join Chelsea two years ago after excelling for the Royals Academy.
