Fernando has sought the forgiveness of Porto after declaring he wanted to leave.
The exciting midfielder has been linked with reunion with Andre Villas-Boas at Chelsea.
"Sometimes we make wrong decisions and are hasty," said Fernando last night. "I want to recover from what I did wrong, so that FC Porto know I realise what has been done for me and how they've helped me.
"I'm sorry."
