Gary Cahill wants to leave Bolton Wanderers a winner.

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas confirmed his interest in the £7million-rated defender yesterday.

Tottenham are also keen on Cahill, who shone on Tuesday as Bolton clinched a vital 2-1 win at relegation rivals Blackburn.

Cahill, 26, admitted: "It has been a tough start to the season for me. Playing here and then playing for England has been two completely different ends of the scale. Hopefully we can go into the New Year now and start picking up some more points.

"We're still in the bottom three and it's going to be a hard season. But we've given ourselves three points leading into two home games."
