Chelsea are in talks with the representatives of West Bromwich Albion super teen Isaiah Brown.
The Daily Star says Brown, 16, is at the centre of a tug-of-war between the Blues and Arsenal.
But Chelsea are in pole position to land the 6ft striker, who became the second-youngest player in Premier League history in May.
They have been in talks with Brown's representatives for some time over a switch to Stamford Bridge.
And sources close to the deal believe the Blues' willingness to spend big on youngsters gives them another edge in the race for the England youth international.
