Chelsea are chasing Barcelona starlet Thiago Alcantara.

The Sun says the 16-year-old midfielder is the latest kid to come out of Barca's academy and already plays for the reserves.

He is the son of Brazil World Cup winner Mazinho and has yet to sign a pro deal with Barca which means Chelsea can get him on the cheap.

Mazinho has already spoken to technical director Frank Arnesen and Chelsea's Spanish scout Juan Cruz Sol.

Thiago is a star with Spain Under-17s and Chelsea are continuing their drive to snap up the world's top young talent.
