Chelsea support welcomes away price cap: Victory for fans

£30 away price cap. A victory for football.

The recent £30 price cap on all Premier League games is a massive move in the right direction. It looked for a long time and up until very recently that football prices would spiral out of control as clubs began to care more about money than the fans.

But this has been put to a stop thanks to the result of sheer fans pressure, and what a result it is.

Let's make this plain and clear. Premier League clubs don't need the extra money. They just pushed the prices as high as they could simply because they were allowed to. But not anymore.

The fact it became so bad as it did is beyond ludicrous. Prices could've risen to over £80 at times to watch a bunch of multi millionaires. It was frankly disgusting.

However, credit where credit is due, clubs have at last, at long last, actually listened to the fans, the people that keep them afloat.

Let's hope this will continue through the football pyramid, but for now it's just nice to see that fans do have a voice after all.
