Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford struck twice for MK Dons in their 3-3 draw with FA Cup opponents Wigan Athletic.
Bamford's second was his last serious act before leaving MK Dons for Derby County.
"I am disappointed we didn't win it," said Dons boss Robinson.
