Chelsea are keen to sign Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero but have been stunned by his wage demands. After missing the boat with Kaka, the Blues are determined to secure a top-shelf player and the 21-year old Argentine striker looks a great fit.

Whilst the £45 million transfer fee is enough to begin with, Aguero has now demanded £11 million a season, more than what Kaka will earn with Real Madrid.

Paying that amount is steep, even if Aguero is being touted as the 'new Maradona'.
