Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has been snubbed by Spain coach Vincente del Bosque.
The striker scored the winning goal last night as Chelsea reached the Europa League quarter-finals at the expense of Steaua Bucharest.
But a late missed a penalty betrayed his struggle for confidence and Spain boss Vicente Del Bosque has deemed him surplus to requirements.
"We didn't see Fernando at 100 per cent and because of this we didn't call him up. The inconsistency of our strikers is our only uncertainty at the moment," said Del Bosque.
