Chelsea striker Diego Costa will avoid sanction from the FA after Everton midfielder Gareth Barry denied he had been bitten by the Spanish international.
Costa appeared to dig his teeth in Barry's neck during Chelsea's 2-0 loss to Everton in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Match officials contacted Barry after the match to get his take on the incident, with the England international reportedly confirming there was no bite and no confrontation between the pair.
Barry issued a brief statement yesterday in order to reinforce his position on the incident
"Seen a lot of talk about the incident involving me and Diego Costa in the game last night. For the record, Diego did not bite me," Barry said.
