Chelsea striker Danny Sturridge will choose Liverpool over Tottenham as he prepares to leave next month.
The Sun says the England striker, 23, has failed to make the grade with the Euro champs but is still wanted by Brendan Rodgers and Andre Villa-Boas.
They are both prepared to stump up Chelsea's £12million asking price when the January transfer window opens.
But Sturridge is set to snub his former Blues boss AVB to seal a £65,000-a-week deal at Anfield. The Birmingham-born star has not forgotten how Villas-Boas continually played him out wide when he was in charge at Chelsea, refusing to trust him in the central striking role he prefers.
