Chelsea striker Danny Sturridge is eager to hear from Liverpool in January.

The People says Sturridge will hold out for a permanent transfer rather than leave Chelsea on loan in January.

Sturridge, 23, has featured in just three league matches this season and is now becoming frustrated at his lack of game time at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool are set to resurrect their interest in the new year but Sturridge believes he will only hit top form again if he is settled and playing regularly.
