Chelsea striker Scott Sinclair has laughed off a highly-publicised chat he had with Guus Hiddink earlier this month.

Many observers suggested that Hiddink's recent catch up with Sinclair was proof that the Russia boss was making long-term plans at Stamford Bridge.

Sinclair, on-loan at Birmingham City, said: "I only spoke to him (Hiddink) briefly, not about anything else it was just a quick chat and that was it.

"It was blown out of proportion.

''I don't know anything about the manager situation at Chelsea. That will be decided at the end of the season.

"The chat was in person at the Aston Villa reserve game, Chelsea were up here and I was there watching because my mates were playing."
