Chelsea striker Loic Remy admits the Paris terror attacks shocked him.
Remy has played at the Stade de France, which was targeted in the attacks, on many occasions for the national team.
"It's really sad and what happened in France has touched everyone," says the 28-year-old to chelseafc.com. "We need to all stick together, be close and stay strong because it's very difficult for our country at the moment.
"We've had massive support from all the other countries which shows that together we are stronger. This kind of thing cannot happen again because innocent people died for no reason and it's not acceptable.
"I have family who live in Paris so I was scared when I heard what was going on. Thankfully none of them were involved, but it doesn't matter if it's my family or not, the fact is they killed innocent people who just went out to enjoy their Friday night.
"I saw on Twitter a mother posted a message saying she had bought her daughter a ticket for the concert and she was one of the people killed there. When you read something like that you realise it could happen to anybody and it's just not acceptable."
