Chelsea striker Morata: My goal had nothing to do with Real Madrid...

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata was delighted to score in their Champions League win at Atletico Madrid.

However, given his Real Madrid background, Morata insists the goal didn't have extra meaning.

"It is always nice and special to score in a new stadium. I'm happy, but for the victory of the team; it has nothing to do with my past," he said.

"I am very happy to have started the season so well, but I insist that the most important thing today was to win the game and take all three points."

On Eden Hazard's performance, Morata added: "It's always easy to play alongside someone like Eden, one of the best I'm very lucky to play with him."

Chelsea ace Hazard added: "We are happy, it was a difficult match against one of the biggest teams in Europe, we did well and we scored two goals, although we deserved to score more."
