Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata admits he had contact with Juventus over the summer.

Morata revealed he spoke with a Juve director about their €112m deal for his former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

He told Cadena SER: "The truth is that I did not believe it, I thought he was doing it to renew ... Until I talked to a Juve executive, I found him and he said: 'You know who comes to Juve?'

"I did not believe it, they told me before it happened, my parents said it was impossible, I even knew it before the World Cup! At least he left Madrid to go to another club that is just as good. Juventus are similar to Real Madrid, they are two great clubs."
