Chelsea striker Falcao can rediscover Atletico Madrid productivity says Colombia boss

Jose Pekerman is convinced that Radamel Falcao will soon reproduce the form that earned him a big-money move to AS Monaco.

The 29-year-old striker starred for Atletico Madrid over two seasons, scoring 70 goals in 90 outings, before moving to France for a fee of around
£51million in the summer of 2013.

Since then, however, things have not quite gone to plan for Falcao who is currently on with Chelsea from his parent club Monaco.

Last season, 'El Tigre' flopped badly at Manchester United with just four goals in 29 outings in his debut season in England but Colombia boss Pekerman believes it will not be too long until the Blues are reaping the rewards of his undoubted abilities.

"We all know his capabilities and I see he still has the will to fight, to reverse the situation," Pekerman said.

"With that spirit of wanting to reach his best performance we have expectations.

"We need that rebellion and that ability to want to fight.

"If so we have hope that he recovers his best form and we can take it into account.

"We always have the hope that he rediscovers his confidence. He always deserves to be called up."
