Ivory Coast president Laurent Gbagbo stepped in to convince Chelsea striker Didier Drogba to drop thoughts of international retirement.
Sport Ivoire says during international week, president Gbagbo, a great football fan, invited Drogba back to his house, during a brief talk with him over the weekend.
The Chelsea talisman also met with the rest of the team before their departure to their respective clubs. He asked everyone to forgo quarrels and ego problems for the good of the national team.
He added that he was available for future call ups.
