Diego Costa has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association.
The Chelsea striker was involved in a couple of incidents in his side's 2-0 loss to Everton in the FA Cup quarter-final at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The major one sparked rumours that Costa had bitten the neck of Toffees midfielder Gareth Barry after the pair had clashed in the first half but it was the next encounter between the two combatants which has brought about the charge.
Costa was shown a second yellow card by referee Michael Oliver and reacted inappropriately when he refused to leave the pitch immediately, and he has subsequently been charge, and has until 6pm Thursday to respond to the FA.
The Spanish forward also has to answer to an alleged gesture he made to Everton fans when he left the pitch at half-time.
