Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka admits he enjoys indulging himself at McDonald's.
Anelka admitted: "I don't go to McDonald's every night - but if I did really fancy a burger I would go and get one.
"I think a lot of it is in the brain and to do with feeling guilty. I don't feel guilty and therefore I don't feel heavy.
"Even on the eve of a big match, I can have broccoli or a burger. It depends how I feel."
McDonald's obviously does the trick for Anelka, 30, as he is still the Premier League's top scorer with 15 goals.
But don't expect him to preach the virtues of a hearty breakfast either - despite being told by coaches and other sportsmen it is the most important meal of the day.
He added: "Those athletes are quite right. We should all be getting good stuff inside us first thing in the morning.
"But I am a terrible example. It just isn't a meal I ever bother with. It's not good but I just don't fancy anything first thing."
