Chelsea must navigate more red-tape to finally get a deal for Bertrand Traore over the line.
The Daily Mail says despite Jose Mourinho explicitly saying that Traore is one to keep, it remains far from a foregone conclusion that Chelsea can secure a work permit for their latest prodigy.
Chelsea revealed in the summer that Traore is in the United Kingdom on a student visa but, under FIFA regulations, can sign a professional contract on his 18th birthday.
In order to gain the necessary endorsement to play for Chelsea in competitive matches, the Burkina Faso Football Association must confirm that Traore is established as a player of the 'highest calibre' and able to make a significant contribution to the development of football in the UK.
