Chelsea are ready to go with Rafa Benitez to the end of the season.

A 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday lifted Chelsea back into third place in the Premier League table and helped earn a reprieve.

The Sunday Telegraph says Benitez had thought he might lose his job on Thursday, the day after his criticism of the club's supporters and board but it seems the lack of an immediate alternative might keep him in place.

However, the situation could still change quickly, according to sources, with Chelsea facing two key cup ties this week - away to Steaua Bucharest in the Europa League and at Manchester United in the FA Cup.
