Chelsea starlet Chalobah preparing for biggest game of his career with England U21s

Nathaniel Chalobah admits tonight's UEFA U21 European Championships clash with Italy is the biggest game of his career.

The England U21 side need a victory in Olomouc to assure their spot in the semi-finals of the tournament and Chelsea young gun Chalobah is well aware of the significance of the fixture.

The 20-year old was part of Stuart Pearce's Young Lions side that lost all three group stage games in Israel in 2013 and is determined to put that failure to bed by finishing in the top two in Group B this year.

"The last time we played against Italy they weren't really good memories for us," the former Watford, Middlesbrough and Reading loan star recollected on Tuesday.

"It was the first time I'd been called up to the squad and obviously it was our first game of the tournament (in 2013). "It was disappointing that we lost that game. It always hurts losing. We didn't play as well as we could have last time around and that's something we're looking to put right this time."

When quizzed on whether or not it was the biggest match of his fledgling career, Chalobah added: "I'd definitely say so. It's a game we're going into that could potentially take us into the last four of the tournament."
