Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has played down his fantastic achievements over the past few seasons.

Kante has enjoyed a wonderful rise to prominence over the past few years and having guided Leicester City to the Premier League title last season, the French international is now set to help Chelsea claim the English top flight crown during the current campaign.

Widely considered as one of the best midfielders in the world at the moment, Kante most certainly can be very proud of his achievements but the 25-year-old has insisted that he has a long way to go in his career to reach the heights of his French national teammates.

"It's always nice to hear nice things about yourself, but you have to step back, there's still a lot of work," Kante told Canal+.

"When I'm in France, I see the careers and the prize list.

"Of my teammates, I think that I have not done anything in football, and there is no reason to take it for someone else."
