N'Golo Kante has been named the PFA Players' Player of the Year for 2016/17.
The French midfielder has been one of the key reasons why Chelsea find themselves at the top of the English top flight and has been awarded for his individual efforts in what has been a great team performance this season.
Former Leicester City star Kante, 26, has won the award ahead of Blues teammate Eden Hazard, Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.
"To be chosen by the players to be player of the year means a lot to me," Kante said when presented with the award at the Grosvenor Hotel in London on Sunday evening.
"It means the world to be chosen and it's been two beautiful seasons, one with Leicester, and we are in good form with Chelsea.
“To be player of the year, it's a great honour."
So proud for such a honour! So amazing. As I always said, it's a team work: thx to my teammates, @ChelseaFC members and all the fans. pic.twitter.com/4tQXf1ROXH
