Cesc Fabregas provided a funny response following Julen Lopetegui's sacking as Spain boss.

Lopetegui, who left the Chelsea star out of his World Cup squad, was relieved of his duties after it was revealed he failed to notify the Spanish Football Federation that he was taking the Real Madrid job after the World Cup.

Former England striker Gary Lineker claimed on Twitter that the decision would give "Fabregas something to talk about". Fabregas then replied: "Wait, maybe I get a call up now!"

Fernando Hierro has now taken charge of Spain for the World Cup.
