The Ivorian forward - nicknamed Didi - slipped into the traditional African garb to marry Lalla Diakite, the mother of his three kids.
The couple, together for 12 years, also wore gold headgear and jewellery as they partied in Monaco.
One onlooker told The Sun: "They both looked spectacular."
Drogba, 33, later wore a grey suit and Lalla a white gown and veil for the town hall ceremony itself.
The 500 guests included basketball stars and R&B singer Akon who flew over from the US.
Team-mates Michael Essien, Salomon Kalou and Florent Malouda were there too.
