Gary Cahill has highlighted the importance of Wednesday night's international friendly between England and Germany.
The Chelsea defender has been named captain of the Three Lions for the enormous test against the 2014 World Cup winners in Dortmund.
"It's definitely important. Momentum is everything and proves everything is going right, especially against huge opposition," he said.
"It's a chance to test ourselves against these players and it's a game we should be looking forward to, competing against top European players."
Regarding the captaincy, Cahill added: "It's a huge honour every single time you play for England, never mind captaining your country."
