Chelsea's social media team gaffed for Belgium's World Cup win against Panama last night.
The Daily Mail says Chelsea accidentally omitted goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois from a Twitter post wishing Belgian players Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi good luck ahead of their country's 2018 World Cup opener against Panama at Sochi's Fisht Olympic Stadium.
The FA Cup winners' social media team quickly corrected their error before publishing an interview with Courtois in which he lauded Hazard's 'amazing' recent performances and discussed the potential for Belgium to triumph in Russia.
But it was not quite speedy enough to avoid attention from those who wondered if it had any deeper meaning.
