Chelsea are planning a raid on Southampton's academy for teenager Luke Shaw.

The Daily Mail says Chelsea will bid £4million for Southampton left back Shaw this week as they begin a massive rebuilding job at Stamford Bridge.

Roberto Di Matteo, made permanent manager after winning the Champions League and FA Cup, is planning for the future and wants the England Under 17 defender at the club.

Shaw, 17 next week, is an academy graduate and made his first-team debut in the FA Cup at Millwall last season.
