Chelsea plan to launch a bid for Partizan Belgrade's Serbia Under-21 winger Lazar Markovic.

The People says Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas has had his scouts running checks on the 17-year-old after receiving glowing references.

Partizan do not want to lose the £7million-rated player, but sources close to the club believe they would consider a sale if a loan-back clause was written into any deal.
