Chelsea skipper Terry won't be tempted by Man City cash

John Terry sees his long-term future at Chelsea. Terry's future at Stamford Bridge is under fresh speculation with Manchester City rumoured to be on the brink of making a massive offer for the Chelsea captain when the transfer window opens next month.

But Terry has effectively told City they would be wasting their time in trying to tempt him away from the club he loves.

"Hopefully I've got another 10 years in me, certainly for Chelsea," Terry told Chelsea TV. "I'm going to give everything for the club.

"I go back to the disappointment before, I've said how disappointed I was and what I owe to the Chelsea fans for what they have given me, making me feel as welcome as a youngster even though I wasn't ready, them being patient with me.

"I owe my career to the Chelsea fans so I want to thank every one of them personally.

"I've got my testimonial in a few years and hopefully that will be a big game and a good day for the supporters as well."
