John Terry felt Chelsea's performance in Wednesday night's 1-0 win over Steaua Bucharest was only 'okay'.
The Blues finished top of Group E courtesy of Demba Ba's 10th minute goal but captain Terry wants improvement from the team who await their Round of 16 opponent while preparing for the weekend's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.
"It was okay," he told Sky Sports 3.
"We are still improving and can get better for sure.
"It was important for us to top the group tonight, some tough teams have topped the groups."
And Terry also felt it was important for his side to start killing off games when they are in control.
"It is something we need to work on," he added.
"It is important in games like this home and away we kill off the game.
"We'll go about our business, we are through now, to top it is a bonus.
"We are quietly confident, we know we have to get better and improve."
