Chelsea skipper Terry tribute to Abramovich: He's everywhere

Chelsea skipper John Terry is delighted with the show of ambition from club owner Roman Abramovich this summer. Abramovich has spent in-excess of £60million on new recruits this summer and more are almost certain to follow with the club looking for a new centre forward and right-back.

And Terry has paid tribute to the Russian billionaire - who is currently in the US for Chelsea's tour - for again showing his commitment to the club.

"The owner is very much involved. He's down at the training ground, he's around the hotel, he wants to know what's going on, what kind of training we are doing.

"It is really refreshing to see and I think it's good for the new players to see that, because I don't think they have really seen that at previous clubs they have been at.

"But I have said before, the owner cares about this football club, and he shows that because he is always here with us.

"He's still spending, too. But you have to. You look at what other clubs are doing, what Man City are doing, even PSG who I thought were very good the other day. 'There is so much money out there. Even after winning the Champions league it is so important that we keep competing.

"And thankfully we have got an owner who is very much prepared to do that and put the faith in the players that he signs as well."
