Chelsea captain John Terry has made contact with Aston Villa midfielder James Milner over his X-rated challenge during Saturday's FA Cup semifinal win.
The Daily Mail says Terry has texted Milner to explain there was no intent behind the Wembley tackle which angered Martin O'Neill, but he stopped short of an apology.
Terry believes he won the ball fairly, nudging it aside with the outside of his boot before his momentum carried him into Milner's leg during the FA Cup semi-final between Chelsea and Aston Villa.
Villa manager O'Neill branded it 'horrendous' and said Terry should have been sent off and not just booked.
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti: "I know that John texted Milner and, for Milner, it was OK."
