Chelsea captain John Terry denies the squad is over the hill.
Terry bristled at the suggestions last night.
He told chelseafc.com: "We went through a bad spell in the Premier League last year.
"You had the speculation that the squad's getting too old and then we went on to win the Double.
"Nobody comes out and apologises or corrects themselves. We are a year older and next year we're going to be another year older. That doesn't take away from the quality we have.
"The manager has brought in two world-class players. In the League we have under achieved a little bit but we believe we still have the quality and with these guys coming in we can really push on."
