Chelsea skipper Terry snaps back at Benitez over fitness doubts

Chelsea skipper John Terry is angry over claims he's not fit enough to play regularly.

Rafa Benitez has blamed Terry’s regular absence this year on a lack of training.

But Terry stormed: “I want to set the record straight. I am fit and training every day — and have been for three months. I can definitely play twice or even three times a week.”

Terry also had a veiled dig at Benitez by praising Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers — one-time reserve coach at Chelsea.

The Blues visit Liverpool on Sunday. And Terry added: “Brendan is a great manager who was brilliant for me and a lot of other Chelsea players. He was a real gentleman.”

Is Terry right to defend himself? Does he warrant an automatic start? Give us your shout below...
