Chelsea skipper Terry not surprised Rodgers in charge of Liverpool

Chelsea skipper John Terry isn't surprised to see Brendan Rodgers in charge of Liverpool.

Rodgers left Stamford Bridge in 2008 to manage Watford and has arrived at Anfield via Reading and Swansea. Terry never doubted he would succeed.

"I was 100 per cent sure," said the Chelsea captain. "He was around quite a lot, fed off Jose and obviously learnt a lot from him.

"You could see he had it in him to go on, his mannerisms around the players, he had a great rapport with the players at the training ground on a daily basis."
