Chelsea skipper Terry insists England have improved since World Cup

Chelsea skipper John Terry says England have improved since the World Cup debacle.

Terry has seen progress since England's World Cup debacle last summer with the emergence of players such as Wilshere and Adam Johnson plus the re-emergence of his former Chelsea team-mate Scott Parker.

None of that trio were in the squad for South Africa and Terry said: "There are players who just missed out on the World Cup, like Adam, who has looked brilliant all week and he's come on. You can see the confidence there.

"Scotty and people like that have been different class. Even in the week here he's looked an unbelievable player who still looks and feels fresh."
