Chelsea skipper Terry happy to sign off with victory

Chelsea skipper John Terry was delighted to sign off for the season with victory over Blackburn Rovers.

Terry scored in the triumph.

"It was really good to end with a win," Terry told chelseafc.com, who will miss Saturday's game against Bayern Munich after his red card against Barcelona in the semi-final.

"It was a difficult game even though they had already been relegated, and we were resting guys for the Champions League as well. Sometimes you can be a bit slow when it's like that, which our first half was, but we got the two goals before half-time and it set us on our way.

"It's always good to end the league season with a win, especially bouncing back after Liverpool in the week as well. We can now go into the Champions League with a little bit of momentum and a winning mentality back so we did what we had to do."
