Chelsea skipper John Terry hopes to be back soon from his knee injury.
The London Evening Standard says Terry sustained a medial cruciate ligament strain in his right knee following an accidental clash with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez just over two weeks ago.
At the time it was feared the 31-year-old could be out for the season, but he only sustained minor damage.
After a scan, the club revealed that he could be ready to play in the FIFA World Club Cup next month but Terry has made rapid progress and is already back in training.
Terry told friends he was feeling good about his knee after having a session on the pitch at Stamford Bridge before Chelsea's goalless draw with Manchester City on Sunday and is determined to make himself available as soon as possible.
