Chelsea skipper Terry considers England retirement

Chelsea skipper John Terry is considering England retirement after being dumped as captain by the FA.

The Daily Express says Terry will consider quitting the England team, with the FA decision to remove him as captain also leaving Fabio Capello furious and feeling undermined.

Terry’s international future is in the balance after he was stripped of the armband for the second time in his controversial career during a telephone call yesterday from FA chairman David Bernstein.

Sources close to the player last night indicated that Terry feels the FA have caved in over the issue and he is questioning whether he wants to play for his country again.
