Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has described his teammate John Terry as the best defender in the history of the Premier League.

The veteran centre-back has had very limited playing opportunities this season, but he was a part of his side's three-man defence in the 2-0 FA Cup fifth-round win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Courtois told Chelseafc.com of the club captain: "He's a world-class defender, arguably the best defender in Premier League history, so he has talent and ability.

"When he's called to play he's reliable and he's there for us to use.

"We have great competition for places, especially in that defensive area, so regardless of who is called upon to play we're very comfortable."
