Chelsea signing Ramires hopes his Benfica fans understand his decision to leave.
The Brazil international is moving to Chelsea in a €22 million deal.
"I hope everyone understands this decision. This is football. This outcome is good for the club and for me," Ramires told A Bola.
"I love this club. I took Benfica into my heart. I am very happy. I will never forget how I got here, where I was a champion, where I improved and I was very happy. It was a wonderful year!
"I hope that everyone understands that it was a very good opportunity for me on a personal, sports and financial level."
