Chelsea signing Juan Mata feels he leaves Valencia on the best terms.
Mata moved to Chelsea earlier this week for €28 million.
The midfielder said: "When I heard of Chelsea's interest I spoke to (Valencia president) Manuel Llorente to learn if the offer was good in economic terms for the club.
"In no time I figured this out, but when you get a club of this nature interested it makes you think whether you're ready for such a move.
"I came at zero cost and go for big bucks.
"I will leave full of sadness, but the payoff for the club and the step I take learning about another country and another league, I think it was time."
