Imminent Chelsea signing Eden Hazard flopped on his big night against England last night.
The departing Lille ace Hazard hardly got a kick - apart from a stamp on the ankle from new club-mate Ashley Cole that gave him a typically English welcome to London.
It was a salutary lesson that when you come up against Premier League defenders it is becomes a battle of wills as well as skills.
Given his age and experience, Hazard remains on a steep learning curve.
